How are you creating space for yourself? Space is something I am deeply considering as I approach my 46th birthday tomorrow, April 14th. I see it as my new year and a fresh start.

For me creating space is intentinally going outside for a walk, sipping cacao on my porch, or listening to a new book while I recipe test and food style. This week, I started Ina Garten’s, When Luck Happens.

Ina shares about cooking and interior design as a hobbies in her book, something that she did outside her government job that brought her joy. Cooking and design was something she looked forward to doing.

Listening to Ina reminded me of why I created the Nourishing Creativity podcast, it’s pure joy to connect with fellow entrepreneurs and creatives. What are you creating that brings you joy? Let me know in the comments.

Reading When Luck Happens by Ina Garten

Ina is a badass! I knew this but to hear your story in her own words is an experience. Need a reminder that you can do ANYTHING? Let Ina tell you how she got a mortgage in 1978, when a woman needed permission from her husband or father plus, a note from a doctor to would promise that wouldn’t she wouldn’t get pregnant, it was called a “baby letter.” It’s wild to me that this was happening in the United States, the year before I was born.
